Sage & Slate Designs was born from a simple conviction: that the spaces we inhabit shape us as profoundly as any experience or relationship. Founded in Pune, we are a studio of architects, designers, and spatial thinkers who have made it their life's work to design environments that improve daily living.

How does the design process work from start to finish?

Our process has seven phases: Discovery & Brief → Consultation → Concept Development → 3D Visualisation → Material Selection → Execution → Styling & Handover. Each phase is collaborative and unhurried. We believe quality is determined long before construction begins, so we invest heavily in the design phases to avoid surprises during execution.
What is included in the interior packages?

All our packages include Essential Furniture, Modular Kitchen, Electrical Works, False Ceiling Design, and Painting & Finishes. The 1 BHK starts at ₹5,99,000, 2 BHK at ₹8,49,000, and 3 BHK at ₹10,99,000. These are starting prices — the final cost depends on the quality of materials, finishes, and any bespoke elements you choose. We provide a detailed quote after your consultation.
How long does a typical interior project take?

Timelines vary by scope. The design phase (concept, 3D visualisation, material selection) typically takes 4–6 weeks. The execution phase for a 1 BHK is 45–60 days, 2 BHK is 60–90 days, and 3 BHK is 90–120 days. We share a detailed project timeline at the start of every engagement and update you weekly throughout execution.
Do you work with a particular design style, or can I choose my own?

We do not impose a house style. Our work spans modern minimalism, Japandi, warm contemporary, transitional Indian, and more. What we do bring consistently is discipline — restraint, quality of materials, spatial thinking, and attention to light. The aesthetic direction is always built around who you are and how you live.
Do you incorporate Vastu Shastra into your designs?

Yes. We integrate Vastu principles seamlessly into contemporary design. We do not compromise aesthetics for compliance — instead, we find elegant ways to honour spatial orientation, entry placement, and energy flow within the design language. Vastu integration is available for all project types.
Can I see the design before execution begins?

Absolutely — this is one of the most important parts of our process. Before a single wall is touched, you receive photorealistic 3D renders of every room and an immersive walkthrough video. You can see light quality, spatial proportions, material appearances, and furniture placement — and refine anything until you're completely satisfied.
Will you manage the contractors and vendors, or do I need to coordinate?

We handle everything. All civil contractors, carpenters, electricians, painters, and suppliers are part of our trusted network and are managed entirely by our team. You have a single point of contact — us — throughout the entire project. You will receive weekly progress updates and are welcome on site at any time.
Can you work within a fixed budget?

Yes. Transparency around budget is a core part of our process. Once we understand your vision and your budget, we design intelligently within it — prioritising where quality matters most and finding elegant alternatives where it matters less. We never surprise clients with unexpected costs.
What happens after the project is handed over?

We remain accessible after handover for any questions, touch-ups, or adjustments. We also provide a comprehensive aftercare guide for your home — covering maintenance of materials, recommended products, and care instructions for all installed elements. We believe the relationship doesn't end at handover.
Do you source all the furniture and materials, or can I bring my own?

We source everything through our curated network of suppliers, but we are always happy to incorporate pieces you already own or love. We'll work around existing furniture to create a coherent design. Any pieces you source independently are welcomed — we simply advise on how they integrate into the overall scheme.
